Business as Usual is not it.

March feels well underway, doesn't it?

150 days of anything happening on repeat is something to stop and consider. At this time, it's a sad story, as it is 150+ days into a genocide of the Palestinian people. Consider what actions you can take to support a permanent Ceasefire Now (see this list of upcoming events) and join community in taking action together for two Action to Expression practices (March 18, March 22) at Tejal Yoga this month.

The idea of business as usual is more unpalatable than ever. In 2009, I left my consumer finance job because the rat race was soul-sucking. I spent a year exploring how to make it work, still corporate but in another way, then the money I had saved for that year ran out. I began another consumer finance job which I again left in 2014, not due to the soul-sucking nature of the work, rather, due to the fact that I was growing desensitized and accustomed to the work, the grind, and the rinse-repeat cycle of my life. There was no joy, no fight, no fire, no real energy in it.

I found yoga teaching and community building to be the pairing of my passion and interests with my time. I no longer needed to hold back who I was to do a job. I feel more grounded in this work than when I started and believe I will continue to grow in this direction for the foreseeable. It's because of the foresight I had to change directions back in 2014 that I am able to share about this work, the classes and monthly workshops we offer, in a full heart-centered way.

I hope these offerings will find you where you are and heal and support you in ways that you can trust.
